Tin i skip the test and reapply?

Help me out guys!
Am lil confused.
My eligibility menstruum (extended) for step1 ends this march 31st.
Just my training is not really that good.
Am i allowed to cancel now and take the exam afterwards, i mean afterward the eligibility period?
Whats the procedure?

i don't know if i got information technology correct from your caption, but here is what i know:

when yous aplly for a certain exam(footstep 1, footstep 2 CK, etc) you take to choose a three months menses when yous have to take your test; if in this menses you are not fix to have the exam, you can extend the eligibility period for some other iii months which FOLLOWS the initial 3 months; in this 3 months period you accept to requite the exam(i retrieve this is where you are right now); if you lot will be not ready for the examination by 31st of march and you already have extended the eligibility period, you accept only 2 options:

1. take the exam by the finish of march even though you are non fully prepared.
2. don't accept the exam; in this case you will lose those 740$(or how much you payed for the step examination) and you will need to reaply for some other iii months eligibility menstruation which ways another test fee;

bottom line: you don't wanna go to the exam by 31st of march, you lose those coin(740$) and in club to take the test you will have to pay again the fee examination.

Merely not the fees.U may take to do all the paperwork again !!

You don't have to do the paper work over again....once u get an usmle id ur all documents are with them till 5 yrs(is information technology 5 yrs or vii yrs i dont know),ya u may loose ur coin,but its meliorate to pay 740$ once again,than to get a bad score & end up with no residency position at all.....this was just a suggestion.

you don't need to practice whatever paperwork again, just need to pay for the extention fee( eligibility period) adjacent 3 consecutive months, i think it's only 50$.

My proper noun is Shweta.I have mentioned in the previous mail service that 1 of my friends did the same.She was unable to give the test fifty-fifty after extending her menses,so she reapplied.But the 2d time when she was reapplying she didnt ship whatsoever documents.Just ofcourse this was ane yr back,dont know about any recent changes.Y'all can transport an email to ecfmg & find out.

I was in the same situation and re-paid the fee. You lot don't have to re-exercise the paperwork, just the online application.

HI GUYS .. i am on the same boat. delight practise you know how long information technology would take to be able to do the online reapplication for a new eligibility period?? when the closest possible date that we allowed to take the test after skipping an already extended period?? for some 1 who take all the papers ready and valid (no need to contact the school).

note: regarding those who are asking about redoing the paper works :
1.for already graduated applicant(ordinarily IMG) = no need to redo the paper works, in that location paper works will remain active and verified in one case accepted past ecfmg in the start fourth dimension for 5 years.
two.for studnets : commonly demand to redo there newspaper works; demand school contact to brand sure that the student is yet attention a medical school .

Hi! Im in EXACTLY sam eposition, my extended period is ending next calendar week but I need only i more motnh!!! really demand to accept it set by January because I have CS on feb!!! ..
